Lucena City named one of the Top Performing Cities in Local Revenue Generation

The Department of Finance thru the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) announces the nationally ranked Top 10 Provinces, Cities, and Municipalities in local revenue generation for Fiscal Year 2019.

Lucena City is recognized as one of the Top 10 cities in terms of collection efficiency of locally sourced revenues, an honour and recognition for its invaluable efforts in revenue generation, towards fiscal sustainability, economic growth and better public service delivery.

Also named in the Top 10 are Legazpi City, Valenzuela City, Santa Rosa City, Cebu City, Parañaque City, San Fernando City, Navotas City, Vigan City and Mandaue City.

The official Certificates of Recognition will be awarded to all concerned local governments, through the BLGF Regional Office.

The annual performance target of BLGF for local treasurers pertain only to taxing mandates of LGUs, such as RPT, LBT and other local taxes, regulatory fees and user charges, and receipts from economic enterprises.
