Lucena City, General Santos City signed sisterhood agreement

To advance the cultural and trade linkages of the two cities, Mayor Mark Don Victor Alcala inked a sister city agreement with General Santos City headed by Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, which formalized the bond, was held at the Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and was attended by officials from the two local government units including Vice Mayor Roderick Alcala and former Congressman Alberto Pacquiao, husband of Mayor Pacquiao.

In her speech, Mayor Pacquiao thanked the City Government of Lucena for formalizing the alliance and enhancing the socio-cultural connections of both cities.

Acknowledging the intention to develop collaborative activities between the two cities, Mayor Alcala said the signing of the sisterhood agreement will build and deliver great benefits to both their constituents.
