Kuya Mark takes oath as Lucena City Mayor

Mark Don Victor Benitez Alcala begins his term as the new mayor of Lucena City.

Succeeding his father, Roderick Alcala, the millennial mayor was sworn into office by Quezon Governor Angelina Tan in the inauguration ceremonies held at Queen Margarette Hotel, June 29.

Graciel Dawn Victor, his youngest sister held the bible during his inauguration. They were also joined on stage by his father, mother Mary Grace, sister Dawn Marie and grandmothers Althea Alcala and Mercedita Benitez.

One of the youngest mayors elected in the city, he has served the community as the Youth Ambassador of the Local Youth Development Council and worked as Executive Assistant for Support Services under the City Mayor’s Office.
